What is a Home Inspection?

Do I need to be present at the Inspection?

Our clients are invited to attend the Inspection, but it is not required. Most clients like to arrive toward the end of the inspection to meet with the inspector as they are wrapping up the report.

What gets Inspected?

A home inspection covers all the major house systems. We visually inspect the structural components, insulation, foundation, roof, interior, exterior, windows, doors, electrical system, plumbing, heating and cooling* systems according to American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) Standards of Practice and in compliance with state and local regulations.

Inspections typically take from 2-4 hours for a modest single family home. Some inspections may take longer depending on circumstances like size and age.
